Crazy

Cuse-Nova Breakdown

The final score was 83-72 and the score looks exactly how it should.

Player Grades

Maalik Wayns - A

Zero turnovers and 21 points. Wayns single handily dismantled the Syracuse zone. He shot 55% from behind the arc which opened up inside opportunities for the big men. Also, he was clutch from the line going 6-6 even though he played almost the whole game logging 35 minutes.

Corey Stokes and Corey Fisher - B+

Two of the veterans of this team lead their team to victory with their solid play. They each scored 16 points and shot 100% from the line. However, Fisher had four turnovers and Stokes had three which bumped their grade down to a B+.

Antonio Pena - B+

The senior forward was played well along the baseline and in the paint for the Wildcats. Pena scored 10 points while grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists. One of the unsung heroes of this game as Wayns, Stokes and Fisher will get most of the attention.

Mouphtaou Yarou - B

Yarou was given much attention coming in but he did manage to score 7 points and grab 4 rebounds, numbers that are pretty much expected from him. He did come up with some loose balls that were momentum changers in the game.

The Orange basically played awful. This team has a long way to go if they expect to make a tournament run in March. With no real leadership and not much chemistry offensively, Jim Boehiem will have to get his players motivated for the rest of the season.

Rick Jackson - B+

At first glance his numbers are gaudy, 16 points with 15 rebounds. The only reason he isn't given an A is due to the 5 turnovers he committed. But this is no disrespect to Rick, without him Cuse lose by 30.

Kris Joseph - B+

Along the same lines as Jackson he put up good numbers but also committed 5 turnovers. Joseph scored 23 points while shooting over 50% from downtown. He also came up with some clutch baskets at the end that kept the Orange in the game.

Brandon Triche - B

Triche played well scoring 14 points and shooting 50% from 3 point range. But it seems as though at times he disappears. Syracuse needs him if they want to be considered one of the country's elites.

Scoop Jardine - F

Instead yelling scooooooop the fans should have yelled boooooo. Jardine played awful today there is no question about it. Forced shots, turnovers and only 2 points in 22 minutes earned him an F.

Fab Melo -

Why even waste my time.

Final Note: Why the hell is CJ fair only in the game for 10 minutes. Did Boehiem not watch the Pitt game. The kid showed real promise and he will be a stud in the future.

Its Ninja Time

LeFag

We all know who Lebron James is, and in many cases people dislike him. I am not a Cavs fan nor am I a big NBA fan at all. My opinion of him stems from the way he carries himself. Ignoring "The Decision" lets look at some other classic LeFag moments.

1. Not his recent tweet referring to the Cavs loss to the Lakers, but the fact that he denied it was intended for Dan Gilbert. C'mon Lebron we aren't stupid.

2. He proclaimed himself "The Chosen One", and "The King" yet he has never even won a game in the NBA finals. Sorry Lebron.

3. Lebron takes out page in Akron newspaper thanking them for supporting him the last seven seven years, yet completely forgets about Cleavland.

4. The guy whines like no other.

5. Last but not least

Front Office Rift Brewing in New York?

Today Yankees GM Brian Cashman made commenta that he didn't think the 3 year, $35 million dollar deal for reliever Rafeal Soriano was a good move for the franchise.  He wet as far as to try to separate himself from the deal saying, "I didnt recommend [the deal]" and that he himself wasn't apart of the final negotiations to acquire the pitcher. When I first heard of this deal I myself was rather skeptical, $12million for an 8th inning set-up man seems a little pricy. Keep in mind that Soriano will make more money then established cogs like Josh Beckett, Jimmy Rollins,  and World Series MVP Cole Hamels. Oh and just in case you were wondering Soriano, 31, has 1 all-star appearance, 88 saves in 9 MLB seasons and 9.00 ERA in the Postseason.
